Romeo and juliet

Romeo and Juliet Persuasive Essay
Although some people prefer to just a take a test the traditional way, others benefit from a different method of learning. Sometimes some people learn better with different methods. Some people learn better when the project is hands-on rather than listen to a boring lecture, or reading a book. When most of the teachers instruct the students to read, some students do not read. With a hands-on project like the Epic Romeo and Juliet project, students are forced to read so that they understand the material and do their job to their fullest.  This project is also great because people get bored and tired of reading books and learning the same way all the time. Students have a chance to experience a different way of learning. Although taking a standardized test would be helpful to learning the play, the Epic Romeo and Juliet project was the best way to learn and understand the play.
This project had value in the classroom, all students were involved in the movie and it was hands on. Even though making a movie sounds fun it required more in depth reading and analysis. Everyone was still required to read the whole and we had questions to answer to insure that students  were reading. This project required great teamwork and cooperation, not only did they  read the book but some actually had to act, re-write the play, direct, and costumes. All of those jobs require in depth reading and analysis to complete this project. Even though  they had learned value in the class room the collaboration really helped hit the ball out of the park.
The students had to exchange and share ideas that students obtained from others. This movie like any other required group work Directors, actors, and films all worked together and students had fun and because of that we were able to finish this project.  This also prepared students  for the future, like a job it takes more than one to do it even if you’re a very successful doctor needs his nurses and assistants.  Problem solving skills were learned throughout this experience. A week before this was to be completed students  were informed that one of our scenes were missing , but instead of panicking we soon re filmed and had even more fun than  the first time. Although this project could not have been completed without team work Organization was the key to success.
Leadership the directs really did a great job in carrying us through this project, and it really shows when you know that the teacher helped with maybe about  ten percent of the whole project. We respected others and really got to know them. Individual freedom students  had the power the whole film, when had the choices of our jobs where we were filming and when. That made the project more fun to know that everything that went on was ran by kids and it was completed. Shows them  maturing as young adults and our responsibility. Organization was one of the keys to success but tech tools we learned could have really prepped us for college.
Which technology booming through the roof little would be done on paper in the future.  Real world skills were learned also every week students  were required to blog about our job or post print advertising. Glogster  was a site were students could make graphic blogs. Blogger was a site we used to post our information so that it could be viewed by the world. One thing I used that was different was called blabberize which recorded what I was saying and made it look like the picture I took was talking. Tech skills are great to know but what really mattered was Memories.
High school is all about memoires its nice to get a A+ on most test and quizzes, but when your grown and trying to look back on high school memories, you’re not going to think about a test you could have got a A on, but the Project u spent a whole quarter on. A project where you got to finally be that director or actor that you wanted to be is just a golden feeling inside. Most people don’t realize this, but school is more than just tests.

High school memories, organization, collaboration all those things that were brought to our attention would have never affected us if we just took a test.  It would have been another bland quarter. We wouldn’t have benefited from Shakespeare’s famous play R &J.  Acting helped us fell like we were a part of the epic play, some were actually excited about doing homework for once or writing short essays every week. Although taking a standardized test would be helpful to learning the play, the Epic Romeo and Juliet project was the best way to learn and understand the play.

Final post :(

Unfortunaltly this is our last blog  for the romeo and juiliet play. I think it was a very fun project, better than reading the book in my opinion. I think when we had parts it required more in depth information for our jobs instead of half-reading the story. Im glad we got to experience this play. I had a lot of fun i hope we can add this to the program because it was a great idea. I enjoyed playing my part as mercutio . Im sure the next person will if we coninue to do this

Reading scripts for act1 . We are starting to film soon so all my lines need to be memorized. Lots of work needs to be done before we can finish this project but i think we can do it. This is all very stressful. In the play im going to be wearing red be cause im associated with the montagues and maybe a little blue. Today we went over color schemes when and y do we wear them. I think it is very intersting the way they thought of it.Act1 is filming thid week and most of nxt week. Then act3 and act5.
